The news has been devastating lately due to the increasing number in teen, gay/lesbian/bi suicides.
I understand if you do not agree on a person's so-called 'choice' to be gay, lesbian, bi, or transgendered but that gives you no right to attack them for it. These poor children are killing themselves due to the lack of compassion from their peers and society. I have been watching numerous of videos on the matter and heard something extremely important: it is not only the bullies that need to be educated, it is also their parents, their societies that need to change.
These bullies are products of their environment and have chosen to lash out with hatred.
No one should have to go through any form of bullying whatsoever. My main concern is that laws have not been implemented to product sexuality and school rules have not been altered to protect these teens from being abused. Blood is on everyone's hands, not just the bullies.
To all the gay, lesbian, bi, transgendered people out there...It gets better!
There are so many people out there who support you and will love you regardless of your orientation, you deserve to be treated as an equal...you are human. You will be accepted. Persevere... and it will get better.
